Al-Bayan Center for Studies and Planning in Baghdad received the Director of the Iraq Initiative at the American Atlantic Council, Victoria Taylor.
The Managing Director of the Center, Ali Taher Al-Hammood, discussed with Victoria Taylor the latest developments in the Iraqi and regional arenas, and Iraq’s efforts in peace initiatives in the region.
The meeting also addressed the importance of Iraqi-American relations and the efforts being made to enhance vital cooperation between the two sides.
The two sides stressed the importance of Track II diplomacy, especially the role of study centers, through dialogues, research, and discussions aimed at reducing the risks of conflicts and enhancing integration in regional and international relations.
The two parties affirmed the necessity of enhancing this track through joint works, within the framework of the strategic partnership that includes both Iraq and the United States of America.
