Al-Bayan Center Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the National Committee for Countering Violent Extremism

The Al-Bayan Center for Studies and Planning has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National High Committee for the Prevention of Violent Extremism, marking a significant step toward enhancing joint efforts in scientific research and the development of programs related to security, peace, and counter-extremism.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Ali Taher Al-Hammoud, Executive Director of Al-Bayan Center, and Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Badiri, Chairman of the Committee. Both parties emphasized the importance of this partnership in supporting national efforts to prevent extremism through the development of effective mechanisms grounded in scientific research and analysis.

This MoU represents a pivotal move in supporting the “Security, Peace, and Extremism Prevention” program — one of Al-Bayan Center’s flagship initiatives. The program seeks to foster peacebuilding efforts and aims to achieve sustainable peace through a range of tools and policies, foremost among them proactive prevention of extremism.

The partnership is expected to foster knowledge exchange and facilitate the implementation of joint initiatives, backed by in-depth studies and strategic analyses that enhance institutional capabilities to address violent extremism before it escalates into a security threat.
