Al-Bayan Center for Studies and Planning hosted, in its office in Baghdad, the French Agency for Development (AFD) to discuss the opportunities for cooperation and partnership in the economic development sector.

In the expanded meeting, Al-Bayan center was represented by Dr. Ali Taher Al-Hmoud and Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Mashhadani, while the French Agency was represented by Catherine Bonnaud, the director of the Middle East at the French agency, Claeyman Leonie, the director of programs at the agency, and Frédéric Turlin, the director of Iraq and Jordan division of the French agency.

While the French Agency consulted Al-Bayan Center on several issues related to the status of the Iraqi economy, the meeting discussed the economic development and its opportunities. The two parties also discussed the mechanisms to build the public and private sector in a way that reflects positively on Iraqi citizens.
