The delegation of the Bayan Center for Planning and Studies met with the former President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Ahmed Salih, in the city of Sulaymaniyah.
The Executive Director of the Center, Ali Taher Al-Hammood, presented the programs and activities that the Bayan Center is interested in, in addition to the research outputs and policies presented to decision-makers in various state institutions.
Al Bayan Center delegation discussed with the former President of the Republic the political situation and the upcoming local elections, while Salih stressed the need to enhance coordination between academic elites and researchers in the Kurdistan region and the rest of the country’s provinces.
During the meeting, Salih emphasized the importance of the work of research centers in the Kurdistan region and Baghdad by turning them into platforms for moderate and peaceful scientific dialogue.
Al-Bayan Center delegation presented the former President with a number of the Center’s recent publications, which included policy studies on many issues facing the Iraqi state.
