Al-Bayan Center hosted a round table meeting with members of the diplomatic community in Baghdad to discuss the challenges facing the next Iraqi government.

The meeting included participation from young Iraqi professionals in addition to representatives from several embassies and featured presentations by Al-Bayan Center staff on the current political, economic and security environment. Discussions ranged from how the country should reign in public spending; promote private sector growth; and devise cohesive policies that engender long term political and economic stability.

Al-Bayan Center is committed to engaging with both Iraqi policymakers and the international community on addressing the multitude of challenges facing Iraq by conducting public policy research that seeks to reform the country’s institutional capacity.
