Al-Bayan Center for Planning and Studies handed over the strategy for achieving justice and ending impunity, titled: “Justice and Political Stability in Iraq,” to the Head of the Judicial Authority, Judge Faiq Zaidan.

The meeting took place in the presence of the Dutch Ambassador to Iraq, Hans Sande, who discussed the benefits of Dutch-Iraqi cooperation in the field of achieving justice and ways to help the Judicial Authority to adapt to the legal progress and technologies related to the Judicial Authority in developed countries.

The Dutch ambassador referred to the cooperation of the Dutch embassy with BCPS in implementing a proposed strategy to end impunity, calling for continued fruitful cooperation between the Judicial Authority and local partners in addition to the international community.

For his part, the Managing Director of BCPS presented a summary of the most important outputs of the strategy and the recommendations made by experts and specialists, noting the center’s readiness to cooperate directly with the judicial authority to achieve the required reforms according to the needs of the authority and the available capabilities.

It is noteworthy that Al-Bayan Center for Planning and Studies launched the strategy to achieve justice and end impunity earlier after dialogue sessions with the three authorities (Legislative, Executive, and Judicial), the international community, activists, and victims.
