The High Representative\u00a0is assisted by the European\u00a0External Action Service (EEAS),\u00a0a structurally and financially\u00a0independent arm which ensures\u00a0consistency across the different\u00a0activities the EU performs abroad\u00a0through its numerous arms with\u00a0external relations portfolios.
